Con was really good fun.  Am now sad, for various reasons, but I shall try to forget that for long enough to type this up, anyhoo.  The guests (Nick Brendon, Emma Caulfield, Juliet Landau, Tom Lenk, Claire Kramer, Sarah Hagen, Elizabeth Anne Allen and James Leary from Buffy; Nathan Fillion, Jewel Staite, and Summer Glau from Firefly; Robert Patrick of Terminator 2, X Files, Faculty etc. fame; and Nickalos Brown, a costume designer) were all fantabulous.  The Firefly guests seemed to be pretty blown away with the enthusiasm everyone has for their show.  I was pretty blown away by them, and Firefly has moved from 'must get around to watching that sometime' in my head to 'must! watch! now!!'.  So I've nicked the DVD boxset from the bro.  Hoorah!

Enjoyed the costume contest, as merlan and thewatch were entering as Nightcrawler and Mystique, so brallaqueen and I were doing the backup thing (brallaqueen way more so, painting the designs on thewatch).  They both looked very cool, and won first place in the 'Best Demon' category.  I was a v v v proud sister and friend.  Hopefully one or both of them will post pics soon.

My camera batteries died, and in the end I didn't bother getting any more, so I won't have any of my own photos to post.  But I did get pics with some of the guests, which are here:

You should watch Firefly right away! But we went mainly for those guests, so i would say that.

Also, Robert Patrick should have kept his glasses on at all times. Am a sucker for a bloke in glasses, yummy :)

Ah, I wasn't very informative, was I? *g* You're right, it is indeed Amy - she's often at the Starfury cons, and is absolutely lovely and lots of fun. We had a giggle about me being in the cat shirt and her being Amy-the-rat.

But how can you *not* recognise the last guy?!?!?! OMG, call yourself a Buffy fan?!?!?! I shall never be able to speak to you again, now. How can you NOT recognise Clem when he's out of his makeup?! Tcha! ;-)

Awww. I shall miss you, but I completely understand what you mean. If I didn't have the flatrate thing for my internet access, I could only afford about an hour a week online! Although, maybe that would be a good thing in some ways ;-)

Hopefully we can catch up sometime soon... and I shall tell you my fingers-crossed-this'll-work-out-news now, then: Dad has decided to give Martin money towards his new car, and clear my debt with him* (they keep giving-us-money/presents like that, even between us, you see), but as that will leave me with a bit left over from the amount, I'll get some cash from him too. Which, I'm really hoping, will mean I'll be able to come on holiday in August with you. *crosses everything that's crossable* I don't actually know how much it'll be yet, but whatever it is, I shall put aside. *hopehopehopehope*
