So, today I have:

  • Done all the washing up

  • Edited my LoM fic and sent it back for beta (again!)

  • Started beta-ing for [livejournal.com profile] elen_ancalima

  • Got up to date with my flist (what?  it's an accomplishment!)

  • Phoned the DEA bloke for an appointment (am now waiting for him to call me back... must remember to ring again if he doesn't get back to me tomorrow)

  • Cooked myself a proper dinner for a change

  • Started to sort out the tall wobbly pile of books beside my bed

  • Cleaned the big kitchen bin so I can use it for the recycling

That'll do for now.

Oh yeah - those are dangerous. I sort them out every now and then, but they mysteriously reassemble themself in a matter of days. *sigh*

Ohh, so you've also got a fic in the works. I'm looking forward to reading it :-)

I'm not entirely sure why mine are even there. I have three bookshelves within arm's length (or nearly) of my bed. Why do I still pile up books right where I'll fall over them in the morning? (And let's not even talk about the magazines and course books under the bed, or the books on my bed side table...)

Hee, thank you! Actually, I kind of have five in the works... not really sure how that happened! But this one will hopefully be ready for *gulp* public viewing in a few days now. I should be sending yours back to you tomorrow, too. I really like it, by the way! :-) (I don't think I've got anything more to do to it, but I want to wait and check it over again with fresh eyes to make sure I haven't missed anything)

LOL. My books try to migrate under my bed, but there's so much junk under it already that they fail ;-). I really need to do a thorough spring cleaning. Maybe during the Easter break ...

Me too :-D. The one I've sent you is the furthest along. Then I've got the other LoM NC 17 fic that I still have to type into the computer. I've had a Nine/Rose angsyt gen fic kicking aroung my computer since November that I should finally finish *headdesk*. Then I've started writing a Three/Rose fic, and I've got a longer Nine/Rose story in my head. (Don't know if that one counts though :-P - I've got several chapters all planned and everything, but only in my head ...).

What kind of fics are you working on - just Life on Mars or other fandoms as well?

Spring cleaning is my current major project. My flat is *such* a tip! Good luck with yours! :-)

I like the sound of your WIPs! I think the one in your head counts... one of mine is all in my head except for a one-sentence note *g*.

The five I mentioned are all Life on Mars, but now you mentioned it, I do also have a Doctor Who, a couple of Pirates of the Carribean, a few Harry Potter (mostly ficlets, but at least one longer), and even a couple of RPS ones knocking about. Those have all been lurking on my harddrive for a year or two while I was horribly over-medicated and non-creative. I might get back to them, eventually... :-)

Keeping up to date with a flist (especially if you have more than one journal) can be quite an accomplishment :) And probably quite a health strain if you were to do it 24/7 which I guess is why so many people take breaks every so often.

Tell you what - reading filters are a blessing! I've got my flist divided up into 'real people' and communities. That way, I can keep up with the people, and dip into reading the comms when I've got the time.

Thank goodness I've only got the one journal that I use for flist reading. My fic one is just for posting.
