I'm late in getting around to doing this, but I knew I'd get here in the end. So here I go:

1 - Tell you why I friended you.
Because we had fandoms and classical musicianship in common. But when it came down to it, the deciding factor was... SHEEP! *g*

2 - Associate you with something. A fandom, a song, a colour, a piece of fruit. SOMETHING.
That beautiful painting(?) you did and had as your LJ background when I first 'met' you. That's the image that pops into my head when I think of you, and btw I adore your version of Galifrey, too. Beautiful!

3 - Tell you something I like about you.
Your awesome creativity! Musician, writer, artist, linguist - I bow before you!

4 - Tell you a memory I have of you.
Hmm... I think I'm going to do this backwards and give you a memory that I hope we'll get to have: of us meeting up in York (or Manchester) this summer with Clare and maybe getting to do the LoM tour. Whee!

5 - Associate you with a character/pairing.
Hmm... I was going to say Annie, but now I think it's Doctor/Martha above all else. Possibly Doctor/Martha/food ;-D

6 - Ask something I've always wanted to know about you.
I think I'll save this one for later, if I may - I can't think of anything right now!

7 - Tell you my favourite user pic of yours.
Well, there are so many great ones. But I think I just about love "DW Martha shadow" best. Though "I suck" makes me giggle, and all those drop dead gorgeous Doctor ones.... Hee!

I'm late, I know! But I get around to these things eventually. So here I go:

1 - Tell you why I friended you.
Well, duh, because it was you! How long have we been online friends now? Since back in the days of... god, what was it then? Onelist?

2 - Associate you with something. A fandom, a song, a colour, a piece of fruit. SOMETHING.
It kind of has to be BtVS/AtS, doesn't it? Ah, those were the days.

3 - Tell you something I like about you.
Your clear sense of loyalty and family, whether that be blood relations (your love and care for your adorable daughter) or 'adopted' family of close friends. I don't know, it's just something that really seems to shine through about you :-)

4 - Tell you a memory I have of you.
You telling me you were pregnant! It was on IM, though I can't remember what client, and I was at my computer in my room in my London flat, I think.

5 - Associate you with a character/pairing.
It's got to be the Fanged Foursome, although of course with Connor added to the mix nowadays. The whole happy family *g*

6 - Ask something I've always wanted to know about you.
Hmmm. I had to think about this, but then I realised that while I was wonked out for a couple of years there, I think I missed your whole break-up from Darla's dad, so I'm not really sure how that happened? Although if you'd rather not go over it, please feel free to think of something random else to tell me instead. Favourite ... er.. no, I think I know your fave band. Book?

No, I don't mind telling you. :-)

Tom and I were together for a VERY short time before I got pregnant. We found out that we were having a baby exactly four days before 9/11, and he was in the military, so by October, he was gone, and we were barely seeing each other at all.

The absence from me allowed him to feel less fondly towards me, and to start experiencing pressure from his friends (mostly army buddies) and family (mostly his parents) to really, really think about how he felt about being a father. He started talking more about our future in "ifs" than "whens," and in February of '02, he finally broke it off with me, saying he wasn't sure about us anymore. Three months later, on the day Darla was born, he told me he loved her, but he didn't want a kid yet. I've seen him only twice in person since then.

For the record, my favorite book is "Mists of Avalon" by Marion Zimmer Bradley. And I'm kinda curious as to who comes off as being my favorite band. ;-)
